Faith is a blessing that is supernatural. It cannot operate without the person of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. There is no faith without God because it comes from God. He cannot give you anything that He is not. God can give you healing as Jehovah Rapha because He is healing. He can provide for you as Jehovah Jirah because He is provision. He can give us love because He is love. He can give us light because He is light. He can give us truth because He is truth. We can have faith because He is faith. Some think that faith and believing are the same thing. They are not. Faith is a noun. It is not something you do but something you have. It is the person you have inside. If you have God, then you have faith. More of God is more faith. Believing is a verb. It gets its empowerment from faith. You cannot believe unless you have the substance of faith because faith is foundational to all believing. Anything that is a person, place or thing is a noun. Faith is all three: a person, a place and a thing. We saw that faith is a person. There is also a place in faith and a thing that is produced out of faith. It has been preached that faith comes by hearing and it does, but that is only one way. Some see that as the only way faith comes but faith also comes by a person. Hebrews 11:1; “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is. God is. Jesus is.
